Kane Chronicles adalah seri pertama dari Rick Riordan yang kubaca dan cerita heboh tentang mitologi Mesir ini sukses membuatku jatuh bangun ngefans beliau sampai sekarang. Caranya bercerita yang lucu dan ringan membuat sesuatu yang kuno dan geek macam mitologi dan hieroglyphs tampak keren dan asyik untuk di pelajari.

Buku panduan ini tampil dalam halaman glossy penuh warna dan ilustrasi karakter dan foto-foto lainnya. Seandainya dulu aku membacanya bersama dengan buku serinya, akan sangat membantu untuk membentuk imaginasi. Sayangnya buku ini mencoba menawarkam banyak hal dari mitologi Mesir yang kompleks dalam satu buku mini dengan halaman terbatas. Mulai dari ringkasan kisah, profil karakter (plus wawancara-wawancara, para dewa/dewi, monster, artefak, simbol dll dll ada di sini. Efek sampingnya penjelasannya jadi terlalu singkat dan saya butuh lebih lagi.

A nice refresher for the series thus far, and since I have a hard time picturing the characters, I found this to be a helpful visual guide as well.

Very nice read, although one can gather most information by reading the Kane Chronicles themselves. The book does give a bit more input on the Egyptian gods and their relationship as well as the hieroglyphs. It's a nice addition to the series.

Me gustan las guías de Riordan porque te ayudan a comprender mejor la historia.
Algunas ilustraciones son muy buenas, otras no tanto. Sin duda, es de los libros complementarios que más disfruto.

It was a fun quick read. I wanted to jump back into the world of the kanes and this was a great quick way to do that. I plan on re-reading the kane chronicles in 2021.
