I needed something light and fluffy to read as the last three or four books I read were all really dark and heavy (although all still excellent) so I picked up this book and got exactly what I was looking for. Light, fluffy, stupid and an easy read. No thinking required, just reading about this character and her habits. Enjoyable and a good "beach" read (even if I was reading it in the middle of winter).

This book is a nice easy read, perfect for while you're on vacation. It really doesn't get interesting till the last couple chapters. Most of the book is her avoiding paying her bills. Although I will probably end up reading the rest of the series.

I honestly do not understand why this book gets so many good reviews. The main character Becky is the most annoying, irresponsible, impulsive little brat EVER!! If I could reach through the book and slap some sense into her, I would have! I cannot read page after page, chapter after chapter of how this woman goes about her life racking up her credit cards, ignoring her bills - and then poof!!! - saved by a rich man to solve all of her problems! And the fact that this book is loved by so many young women is truly disturbing.

Glad this one was just $2

This book kind of stressed me out and made me never want to shop again. I know it is exaggerated, but still, debt freaks me out. Also, Becky Bloomwood is kind of annoying, the romance part of the plot is on the back burner until the very end and didn't have much foundation. I'll probably read the next few on my next vacation because they are easy reads and I am curious to see what happens. Overall though, I've read better.

All of these books are great. The character is horrible with money (which stresses me out) but she's so likable and her experiences are hilarious.

I consider myself fairly responsible financially, so Becky drove me absolutely bonkers! Her shopping addiction just wasn't funny to me...it actually made me incredibly anxious. The only reason I kept reading was because I needed so badly for her to be redeemed in the end.

Update: I tried but I can't do it. I've gotta let this one go. It sucks donkey d*** and I feel duped.

One quarter in: I seriously hate this book so far. I've read about 25% of it per my kindle and I don't want to read anymore. I hate the main character. She's a liar and she's needs therapy. And though I generally enjoy most chick lit and it's overall predictability, I don't like where I see this going.
