No. Just….no. I checked this book out because it was recommended highly just as a book to keep a marriage healthy.
What I got out of tbis book is that marriages have problems because one person is the heavy (usually the woman), takes things too seriously, and having kids is detrimental to a marriage.
One example he gave was a couple where the woman felt like she was doing all the housework, would leave notes abs reminders for her husband to help, he didn’t, so she became frustrated and blew up at him. Uh…yeah. Sounds like he’s not listening or doing his share. Instead she gets blamed in this book for nagging him and not talking to him about how it makes her feel when he ignores her pleas for help…sure, okay.
Everything seemed to be that the wife was irrational and needed to lighten up and let the man live his life. GTFO marriage is 200%—100% from both sides. Buying into the misogynistic and ignorant crap isn’t going to help a marriage.

It’s very gendered and monogamous centric, but the tools are useful for any relationship

Left off on page 202 but wanted it off my currently reading shelf.

I do highly recommend this book for anyone who is married before you have problems, or if you are starting to have problems.
