I've been seeing this on a lot people recommendations on Booktube hence the slow action on my part to pick it up. But...oh, wow! This is a comic series that follows 3 main characters; Esther, Daisy & Susan. They're just started university a few weeks and lots have been happening.

I love the illustration, the witty dialogues, the characters especially McGraw. I also love the friendship between the 3 girls. This really brought back a lot of my uni memories. Tho, why the short 1 star, you may ask? Because we're left hanging by the end of it. I'm sooo going to hop on to volume 2!

Susan, Esther, and Daisy are all first-year university students and have all become fast friends. This first issue of their adventures has drama-queen Esther attempting to go 3 days with no drama, sarcastic Susan seeing her enemy from home on campus, and innocent Daisy being interrupted while doing ... something.

While this issue largely introduces the characters with not much else happening, it is a great introduction and I definitely want to read more of these comics. In addition to great characters, the illustrations are wonderful and do a good job of supporting the story.

this was really fun, i love the characters and can’t wait to continue the series, there’s not really a clear plot and the chapters kind of feel like a single story and doesn’t contribute to an overall story that still really hasn’t been revealed, but it was lots of fun!

Fun slice-of-life comic about college age mates in England.

I read all fourteen of these collections back-to-back over the course of about a week, so I can't speak to the volumes individually. It had a bit of a disjointed start (partly because there's a volume called Early Registration which I should have read first), but once Allison had established the characters and their quirks, everything fell into place and I couldn't get enough of Esther, Daisy, and Susan. It's a slice-of-life comic about three women in university, with a wicked, wacky sense of humor, and it feels like a YA title, but this 49-year-old dude enjoyed the hell out of it.
