I loved the Madison Kate series that I read and wanted to read more so I bought all 4 in this quartet. Plus the novella.

This is a year and a half after the book Kate. Hades is the leader of the Tri state Timberwolves and she took down the former leaders 5 years prior. Archer, Steele, and Cody helped along with her best friend Zed who's her second.

Hades doesn't take crap that's for sure and you disgrace or disrespect her you will pay either with your life or with other punishments.

The book opened with her meeting a guy named Lucas who is new to town and has caught her eye. She also likes Cass who's the leader of the Reapers but that is complicated. And she's feeling something for Zed, but that isn't voiced out loud to him.

The past has come back and someone is sending a message big time. By the end someone she cares about is missing, her club blown up, and a grave that was supposed to have someone in it is empty. Her world is shaken to the core.

I loved the guys in this and was so happy to get more of Cas and Zed who were in the other series. Also I love her sister Seph. Lucas is a sweet guy and seriously hope find him. Love that her aunt's a lesbian.

The audiobook is narrated in duet by Noelle Bridges & Lucas Webley and it's brilliant. They both do an amazing jobs.

Tropes
Why choose FMMM (it's a slow burn so just FM scenes in this one)
Motorcycle / gang romance
Bad b*tch FMC
Spice:🌶️/5

This story is chaos in the best possible way.
Hades—real name Hayden Darling Timber, aka Dare, aka boss bitch extraordinaire—is 23 and running an empire of clubs, gangs, and legit businesses while juggling secrets and her own moral compass.  There’s so much going on—betrayals, creepy rival gangs, and a haunting past that won’t stay buried (literally).
I am SO rooting for Hades: she’s powerful, dangerous, and also vulnerable.

Introduicing her potential 3 love interests :
- Lucas is this young soft, gorgeous cinnamon roll of a guy who has no idea what he’s gotten himself into—and I adore him.
- Zed is her second in command, the "ride or die" best friend, (lot of alpha vibes here)
- and Cass is the broody, possessive, way-too-old-for-you-but-I-don’t-care vibes (lot of alpha vibes too)

If you’re into badass female leads, morally grey men and a golden retriever one, and stories where every chapter feels like a shot of adrenaline, this one’s for you.
Ends on a cliffhanger.

Idk… maybe because it’s a slow burn but it was intriguing enough to keep reading but the cliff hanger didn’t make me want to keep going and get the next book so I think that is a sign to not continue. Maybe if something with Zed actually happened but it was too much implied longing, not enough angst, and no pay off

Can’t win them all

I liked this book more than I was expecting to, tbh. There was still a bit of the ~oh I'm so dark and dangerous~ vibe that I don't love about these type of books, but it wasn't too obnoxious and mostly backed itself up, so I could deal. The plot hooked me in and I'm liking the characters, so I'm keen to see where the series goes.
