This was a good book, and I liked Pip & Olivier. I enjoyed the storyline as well, and the fact that it can be read as a standalone even though it's the 2nd book in the series. I had a little trouble fully connecting with the characters, and the book, in general, just didn't stand out for me. I didn't dislike it, but it's not my favorite book by this author.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

This was such a wonderful read!! I loved every bit of it and could not put it down. I knew Pip would be sassy and fun from our introduction to him in the first book, so this was just excellent.

Fun. Expanding and giving dimension to Pip’s sassy character was a good move. At times Olivier’s side of the dialogue seemed to be straining in its Frenchiness. Could do with less wealth-porn, but I know that appeals to some readers.

Cute. Light. Had me googling a lot of French things.
