The book is way better than the movie and I will die on that hill.

This book is substantially different from the movie, and they’re almost two completely different stories. I would describe Howl and Sophie’s relationship in the book as an enemies to lovers/annoyances to lovers slow burn. Sophie is also a raging b*tch, but in a girlboss way. I now understand why people say Sophie pegs Howl in the book. Howl is so much more annoying in the book, but I’m still madly in love with him. I labeled the diversity as “it’s complicated” because Michael is described as having “dark” skin, so he is likely a POC. The story is just so rich and wonderful, along with the world building <3
