If you are a true crime fan and are interested in learning more on the Manson Murders, Helter Skelter is a must read! I will admit I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about Manson and the Manson Murders, and had no desire to read Helter Skelter. Until I read Restless Souls by Alisa Statman with Brie State. Reading Sharon Tate's family's account of the murders and her mother speaking of the book made me want to read Helter Skelter. Helter Skelter not only gives great insight on the murders commited by the Manson family but you also get full insight of what it was like for them in the court room. And the ramifications that occurred during and after the trial.
This is hands down my favorite true crime novel. Vincent Bugliosi did a phenomenal job writing this book. He made it super easy to follow the trials of Charles Manson and his family. He highlighted every detail of Charles Manson's crimes and the power he held over his family members. I strongly recommend this book!

This is good. But it's also a very stressful book to read 😔
Great insight into the events that led up to and the trial of Manson and the 3 girls. Long but intense, worth a read.

The first part of the book is really interesting and engaging. The last part drags on a little but provides a lot of detail. It's a pretty crazy story so it is definetly worth the read. I feel the book may also be a little biased, as Vincent Bugliosi does not shy away from talking himself up. Then again maybe Vincent is just that good.
