very thoughtful and funny and i really liked the structure and the non traditional ending. first quarter felt like it was seriously plodding through- every scene was just an obstacle the author had to clear before getting to the part she actually wanted to write and it reallyyy comes through I don’t need to know that much about the plane. and the cab. i think it’s a little reductive in terms of its portrayal of clinical depression and suicidal ideation- the power of friendship fixes everything ? idk. but i liked it a lot. fun and summery and kept me entertained

All’inizio ho fatto un po’ di fatica a lasciarmi coinvolgere dalla storia, forse anche perché arrivavo dalla lettura intensa de La valle dell’Eden. Ma dopo poche pagine mi sono ritrovata completamente immersa e ci sono rimasta fino alla fine.
Ho amato tutti i personaggi, prima fra tutti Phoebe e la sua evoluzione mi ha colpita molto. Ho apprezzato molto il rapporto creatosi tra Phoebe e Lola e anche la connessione tra la prima e Gary. Davvero dei rapporti umani ben scritti. 
Nonostante gli avvenimenti si svolgano nell’arco di una sola settimana, tutto scorre con grande naturalezza.
È un libro toccante ma anche divertente, e credo che riesca a esprimere bene quella sensazione di alienazione che molti di noi hanno provato dopo la pandemia.
Davvero una lettura bellissima!
