Wow wow wow! The transition from the first book to the second book is so different. But wow! I really enjoyed this book and SJM writing style. I really enjoyed the way she portrayed trauma, and really dealt with it. It was real and authentic and you watched it heal more and more with time.

The night court is incredible. I really enjoyed the characters and thought they were very well done. I'm incredibly impressed with this book it was a blast.

So, so, so good in its premise that it made the previous book's deeply unsatisfying ending all right. Hooray for character development!

Then we got to this one's deeply unsatisfying ending. Not about to read the next one, the author has proven that she's all about selling the sequel. Never mind.

One of the most entertaining reads ever for me! Loved the romance, the respect, the power, the found family, the way the first book was referenced in nuanced, satisfying ways…I won’t be surprised if this ends up being my favorite book of the series, but we’ll see!
