I absolutely loved this series. Loved these characters. Love everything about this world. The only singular complaint I actually have about these novels is maybe the fact that it’s not as climactic as I would like for it to be. The final showdown between Juliette and Anderson was too easy, to simple. I wanted more. But beyond that, I don’t have a singular complaint. Aaron and Juliette’s romance was everything and more than I could have asked for and I can’t wait to see where it leads. (Also, I hate Adam. If I didn’t say that before.)

Ignite Me - Tahareh Mafi - 5 Stars

I am honestly so so excited to read this one (Well, I was.)because soo many like this one so much.
And well, I did like it too.

I mean, the start alone: everyone thinks she is dead, she thinks everyone is dead. Man, that was a ride.

“And if you insist on continuing to make assumptions about my character, I'll advise you only this: assume you will always be wrong." (p. 42)

But still, this book made me giggle out loud and got me so frustrated with some characters
*cough* adam *cough*

I absolutely LOVED Juliette’s character growth in this book, seriously. My girl is so damn badass I love her.
I absolutely love Warner too, that boy has me whipped and Kenji? God, I love Kenji.
Kenji and Juliette’s friendship is literally so heartwarming I LOVE IT
Their conversation on the roof? love it.

I loved how Warner insulted Adam and KENJI LAUGHED.

And Warner’s ‚‘‘Birthday Presents‘‘ from his father.. anderson if I GET MY HANDS ON YOU

Loved every interaction with Warner in this book, no matter with which character. He is either making me swoon or cracking me up

“Lift your hips for me, love.” (p. 273) I may be dead.

It was such an easy and quick read, its unbelievable. I know why so many people like this book so much. Apparently it was supposed to be the last installment of this series?
But I am glad it's not honestly - because I am excited to read more and more.
(I want more of Juliette, Warner and Kenji tbh. Lovin them.)

Reread Value 5/5

Really loved that this book has more action than the previous one. Romance is great too. Really loved relationships between the whole group. It's sweet and nice.

This is one of my new favorite books. This is the book that made me fall in love with reading . The first 2 books in the series were not that good but this.. This book was gold. The characters were sooooo good and loveble. Normally I do not dystopia books or fantasy books but this while series is the exception. The book has such good plot and relationships. Ten out of ten. Would recommend.

*****************************************definitely lots of SPOILERS *********************************************************

Wow. I am taken away with this ending. This is by far one of the best lay books I've read. Everything was perfect and everything concluded in such a solid way. The realisticness of the situation and how things were failing in the beginning, to the way multiple ties were made for loose threads. Amazing. I have also never laughed out loud so much from a book. The way Mafi has with Kenji as comic relief in the most dire of situations astounds me. I loved Kenji's character and the way that Warner grew as a character. But the biggest thing was when Juliette FINALLY got true self respect. When she truly said it to herself and to Kenji that everything was not based on what either of these boys wanted from her but it was for HER. Damn it too so long but we got here.

Everything EVERYTHING was perfect.

First I then became full team Warner even though I don't usually pick sides damn he was just the right pick. I really really liked how this love triangle was resolved. I always thought Adam and Juliette had a desperate relationship and that Juliette never liked herself around him. Later she realizes that in times like these people show their colors. Now Adam isn't a bad guy, but what he said to Juliette was really shitty. Then later he was very petty--understandably of course but just ughhhh. But she realized that Warner, even with knowing that she would want to be with Adam and after he was completely rejected, he still saved her and loved her. Things really developed from the first book. These two last books were so much stronger than Shatter me, and Mafi really grew as a writer.

We have such a hopeless situation really grow as everyone pulls their shit together to fight.
I had my favorite moments thought the book like how everyone--especially Kenji-- agreed that the spectacle that was being made with this love triangle was like a crazy soap opera. They didn't know Warner at all except for the sadistic killer and commander. It was realistic the way they couldn't trust him and how they eventually came to trust him more. They didn't understand exactly but they all ended up fighting together.
I think the way that Juliette and Warner's relationship formed was a lot slower in pace--even with all the anguish and confusion of emotions--Juliette finally figured everything out and learned a lot more about herself. She got a lot more self respect and sorted out her shit which took forever but FINALLY it happened.
Also when Adam had Juliette's hand touch Kenji I FLIPPED MY SHIT. I was incredulous that Adam would be so rash from his anger. And Adam kept being so annoying which made it so much easier to like Warner more in all honesty.
I just really liked that we had the first relationship not being the relationship for Juliette. That desperate relationship was for the scared girl who was different. Juliette had changed so much from the first book, and so did her love interest as a result. There are so many books where the first person the main character sees, they end up with in a very short period of time. But the way the relationship was sorted out was much more complicated and meticulous. There's an understanding between Warner and Juliette who have endured the world and changed from opposite sides to a truer middle. Bother broken, one didn't fight back and retreated into the shadows. The other brace rough edges and grew up hard with the mask of a monster. Juliette realized more about herself and became stronger as herself and not as someone clutching to Adam's approval. Warner started to believe in himself more instead of being the person who gave up and put up the pretenses of a horrible person who has no one to care for or about him. So I think in the end they complimented each other the characters development was greattttttt

So yeah... anyway

I was scared Kenji would die. I was scared but I didn't think it would happen. He's KENJI. No way would he let himself die. The comic relief that he brings is so refreshing and I laugh out loud all the time because of him. He's hilarious. But I think that one or my most favorite scene in the book is when Juliette and Kenji are talking on the roof. I loved how they had a really good legitimate conversation. I could see their dynamic and they were such awesome friends who supported each other in a shitty situation. It was so heart warming and added so much to the characters'. We also get to really see Kenji and what's underneath his put together mask. Everything takes a toll on him and we get to see him more vulnerable. He's struggling and he's so endlessly tired. He's lost too much and everybody has lost too much. And he's still trying to keep it together, lift others up. He's definitely one of my favorite characters of all time.

Everything was so epic at the end. They talked to sectior 45 and everyone rallied behind them. Castle lifted the tree and Brendan freaking electrocuted it. That was so cool.
And when Juliette is on the boat and knocks down all those soldiers, is bulletproof and has the bullets in a circle around her. Damn her powers have majorly grown.

AND WE GOT ANDERSON THE BITCH HAD NO CHANCE.
Even if there was that sound wave guy ANDERSON IS DEAD THANK GOD.

AND HIS NAME IS FREAKING PARIS. Loved that little tidbit and how Warner then finally found out about the blood family he never knew he had. So I hope this can means things between Adam and him. I get mad at Adam, but he's had it rough like anyone else.

I'm late on reading these books but damn am I excited for the new book coming out in 2018. This is a really solid ending but there is definitely more story to tell.
I really hope that I can see a moment when Juliette sees a bird flying in the sky.
