Entretenido, el toque grimdark de 40k se mantiene pero el libro esta escrito con una buena dosis de humor con un protagonista carismatico y una trama aceptable
Embracing the goofiness about 40k is the way to do it. Excellent book.

This book was incredibly entertaining. It was funny with an amazing plot and awesome characters. Ciaphas Cain and his thoughts were so much fun to read, he had some really funny lines and the way he interacted with the people around him was great to see.
Sandy Mitchell did a good job of hinting at what the twists were and pulling them off wonderfully and in such a satisfying way.

I've read the first two books of the series, and I liked the overall tone of the book. The action scenes are well written, and the protagonist has a unique viewpoint.
What I didn't like was the lack of dimension in the characters, the only character with any depth seems to be the sidekick. Even the main character is quite shallow. I liked these books enough to finish them, but only just.

What a fracking great book!
Cain is a uniquely interesting character amongst the sheer expanse of grim personalities that 40k has. This book is solely interesting to me specifically because of Cain and his reactions to the grimdark hellscape around him. I also love the way it reads, like a memoir. It's hard to describe but from the moment you open the book, you're essentially reading a real book inside the 40k universe, with annotations from an inquisitor and contextual excerpts from other "real" books. Ready to tear into the rest of the series.
