El continues to be as annoying as in the first book. Between her constant trying to run away from the people about who she cares and her self-righteousness and rudeness toward everyone, it was hard to even give a shot at loving her, especially with her constant attitude that the world owes her.
That said, the collaboration between the students on defeating all the world's mals and protecting the lives of the teenagers out there was good. Orion continues to be himself, enjoying his kills. As in the previous book, it ends with an unexpected cliffhanger.
