Cute conclusion <3

Love Jax.
I really really like Gia. I feel she's a strong, independent woman that can rattle Jax's world enough to well...you'll see.

Politics. Food.
It's a match made in hell lol

Aftershock had much more things happening than the previous book, though its length was pretty much the same, which made it less fun. I'd have loved it if there were a hundred more pages.

The story and characters were perfect, but everything was way too rushed. I just start likingJax and then he goes and does something that makes me hate him.

The book was a roller coaster ride, exciting and just as fast. There were no dull moments.

The only slow and well paced part of the story was its ending, the epilogue. It was sweet and beautiful and I'm so glad it wasn't rushed.

I'd have loved it if there had been more content, but I placate myself by thinking that this was the author's debut work, and Crossfire Series is what she's capable of now.

All in All, Aftershock (and the duology as a whole) was exciting, fast and ended was sooner than I'd have liked.

I like this story. So why only 3 out of 5 stars you ask? Well first of all I preferred Afterburn and second it kept making me think of Crossfire because I love those books and this one kind of disappointed me...
So it's not bad but I won't recommend reading this one. You'll be happier after reading the first one and then letting your imagination take over ;)

Sylvia Day proves yet again why she is my writing idol. The second half of Jax and Gia's story is even better than the first, especially because it gave me a chance to adore and admire the strong woman in Gia. She's smart and sassy, funny and fierce, and I seriously related to her inner conflicts about being afraid to trust Jax after their complicated history. One of the coolest things about this duet was seeing the character of Deanna Johnson cross over from Eva and Gideon's world (yessss!)--and after this book, I'd actually love to see her get an HEA of her own! (But reforming complicated characters fascinates me, so...) Sylvia Day has created yet another incredible, swoon-worthy couple in "Aftershock". My only moment of bummed-out was when it ended!

This was cute, and I enjoyed it. Just like the first book, it wasn't my favorite and I didn't really like the characters. However, it was enjoyable overall.
