Received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

A gorgeous, fantastical and hilarious book!

This book has so much, and it was filled to the max with illustrations, concept art, a whole lot of zombies, and even more misspellings (fitting for the zombies).

The illustrations and concept art were really pretty to look at. I haven't played Plants vs Zombies 2, and it seems most of this book is about that, but my oh my it improved quite a bit. There are also little comments added by zombies about things. Like that there are too many plants, Crazy Dave is just meh and more. It really livens up the illustrations. Also yeah for postcards from various places.
The illustrations aren't always in colour, some are in sepia tones, others in black and white. But I think that adds to the thing and makes it even better.
Of course it isn't all about zombies (much to the anger/frustration of the zombies), you can also find various sketches of different plants, scary plants, cute plants and more.
Also added are maps from the various places in the game (I am guessing), and also various sketches/illustrations of the houses/places.

I really had fun reading the comments by zombies, some are just hilarious, and most I agree with. Zombies are so much better than plants!

All in all, this is a wonderful book. Even for those who haven't played the latest game. If you like zombies then this book is perfect for you! And I am thinking of buying this book.

'The Art of Plants vs. Zombies: A Visual Retrospec Book' is an art book with a tongue and cheek element, which it should have. After all, this is art from a game about plants fighting back against a zombie invasion of a back yard (among other locations).

The zombies narrate the book, and they are vocal about how much they hate the plants. Most of the art is of the zombies, but the plant art is represented. Also, all of the games that have been published are represented, including the ones from the upcoming Plants vs. Zombies sequel, with time travelling zombies. There are a number of rare sketches, as well as a picture of the banner that the popular PopCap zombies left on top of the Space Needle in Seattle.

It's a really fun and addictive game, and that's in large part due to the really fun and silly art. It's fun to revisit all the familiar zombies (disco zombie, anyone?), and see a sneak peek of what's ahead.

I was given a review copy of this graphic novel by Diamond Book Distributors and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

I received a free copy from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I think everyone who played - and enjoyed - one or more of the Plants vs Zombies games will also enjoy this book. I really liked the drawings.

It's not really a story, but it shows art (what's in a title) and a lot of sketches of zombies and plants alike, with commentary from the Zombies. (Beware some anti-plant propaganda, and more talk about brains than is accepted in everyday conversation) They talk you trough the 'war'; but as always happens, only covering the glorious victories...

Also included are title-ideas that didn't make it; my favourite: Rest in Peas?

Haha this book was so cool.
I was only recently shown the game of Plants vs Zombies by my boyfriend, and it looked so fun!
So of course I jumped at the chance to read this.
Perfect for all fans of this gaming series.
It is full of plenty of pictures and facts and lots of fun.
If you know somebody that is obsessed with these games, then definitely get them this!

So mobile gaming is a big thing and I know I have staff members who are addicted to this game so it was interesting to see the art and concepts behind it.
