I loved this graphic memoir of A specific moment from Christina’s middle grade years. Perfectly captures the emotions and moments from those hard years in an adolescent’s life. I read an ARC of this book and can’t wait for the final full color edition to come out!

This graphic memoir is an important piece of the tapestry of books that tell the story of what it is to be a middle schooler. Told with a strong voice and equally compelling illustrations, The Tryout should have a place on every school library’s shelves. Though it probably won’t stay there long!
