All written as texts or emails. Found the cycles that they went through infuriating.
#whererainbowsend #ceceliaahern #romancehistorico #amistadyamor

I love the way each letter has been written. This book is actually realistic one. The author has done a great job of depicting a true love story where there is no miracle but patience and love for each other are everything one needs to make their story right. The ending is too good. Every single letter at the end makes sense it was like they were right in front of my eyes. It was a very lengthy book but it is totally worth it to read it thoroughly to know the story of love time of two star-crossed lovers. I love both Alex and Rosie for showing us that it is friendship which is everything one needs to lead a life and nothing else matters.
Could have been quite charming if not for how long it dragged out.
I’m a huge fan of Cecila Ahern ever since laughing and crying my way through PS I Love You (most embarrassingly surrounded by suits while in the Business Class lounge waiting for a flight). This book doesn't disappoint, it’s written with the same depth, and will make you laugh, cry and care about the main characters that are full of flaws and very real.
The writing style takes some time to get used to; all written as notes, letters and emails that help you to understand the past and current situations. Rosie is our main character and we watch her achieve and stumble through life, struggling to raise a child, troubles with marriage and having the career she always wanted. Throughout everything, Rosie’s best friend from childhood Alex is by her, supporting her through everything as he himself achieves and fails at the challenges life throws his way.
I loved it, it found me laughing and crying – this time on a suburban train. It’s also very easy to read, I found the length perfect as we are spending 40 years with these people. Other reviews have said this is too long but I disagree.

"Our life is made up of time; our days are measured in hours, our knowledge is measured by years. We grab a quick few minutes in our busy day to have a coffee break. We rush back to our desks, we watch the clock, we live by appointments. And yet your time eventually runs out and you wonder in your heart of hearts if those seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, and decades were being spent the best way they possibly could. In other words, if you could change anything, would you?"
"Love, Rosie" is a love story, but it's also a story about life (and its struggles). With it being made up of emails, IMs, and letters, there's very little fluff. There aren't any boring parts that I felt eager to just get through or tempted to skip altogether. I was also impressed with how easy it was to follow the timeline, given the unusual structure. It was always clear when there was a passage of time – not with headings like "TWO YEARS LATER," but with birthday cards and Christmas cards and references to seasons or holidays. It's a very cute story.
