Different style but a cute story.

Started this book at midnight (why do I do that?)

It's now 5am and I have no regrets. Yeah it's a little soapy and corny but it makes me want to snuggle up to my boyfriend, drink hot chocolate, and be happy we have each other and our whole lives are ahead of us.

And if a book can make me feel like that, and realize that, deep in my bones, then hell yeah I'm going to stay up all night reading it and give it a 4/5.

(Not 5/5 because even though I'm feeling all jazzed and warm, it doesn't change the fact that the book had some issues, particularly with Alex. Slutty Bethenny? Really?)

Ein Muss für jeden C.A. Fan!

It was so sweet! I liked it a lot.

3.5, actually. It was really nice, but it gets a little bit repetitive after the first half. Liked it more than the movie, because it made me feel quite more.

The very definition of slow burn. Brutally realistic, which is a mature approach for a slow paced romance. I felt like I knew these characters, and that I was in Ireland with them. I thought telling the story via correspondence made me feel connected to their inner lives as a friend. I have never truly read a book like this before, or at least not in a memorable way, cover to cover. I loved the ending, because I was afraid the entire time it was going to be open ended in the typical Irish style. But thankfully it was concluded in just the right way. My heart wrote the ending it wanted and the book allowed me to do just that.

Honestly so conflicted with how I feel about this book. I enjoyed the beginning, the middle dragged, the end still felt like it dragged a bit but also made a cry a little at points. So painful to see Rosie and Alex miss out on so much time together. But overall I enjoyed it. Anyways will be watching the movie tonight (for once the movie actually is better).

When I'm having a bad week, I pick up this book and read it again. The conversations and reflections are truly hilarious. they should have made this one into a movie
