I picked this book up because I loved the film and wanted to continue to explore Alex and Rosie, and all of the things they went through. This book was cute and whimsical, and slightly frustrating. Written in the form of letters, e-mails, text messages, greeting cards etc, it explores the missed opportunities and unrequited love of Rosie Dunne and Alex Stewart. Both likeable and adorable characters, this book was a fun read and worth the read if you liked the film.
NEVER IN MY LIFE A BOOK FRUSTRATED ME SO MUCH AND I LOVED IT ALL AT THE SAME.

Admittedly, I did not actually read this entire book lol. I don’t think this style of writing is for me, but I can see why people would like it! I also don’t think that it translated well as an ebook- maybe a paper copy would have been better.
This book is described as a story of two people who "just can't get themselves together," which is probably the most accurate description it can get. Reading it was fun, but you genuinely have to wait until the END for a happy ending! Most of the time I was annoyed by the obliviousness and passivity of the characters. It reads exactly like a chick-flick, so expect that kind of torturous - yet eventually satisfying - romance.
Easily one of the most frustrating books I've ever read, ever.

Not liking this book. The plot is too much miss chance and miss communication between the characters. That makes me whats to throw up because of nausea. I also feel frustrated with the development of main characters. I want to kill them so the book will end.
I do love chick lit such as devils wear prada, me before you. But this one, really miss the mark. And the plot is too long and dragging.

By the end I was a little bit like get together already, but I did enjoy the book and couldn't put it down.

I liked the plot of this book, but it was far to dragged out. I got bored reading it especially towards the end, there were definitely parts that could have been left out. Although the book was okay, the humor was great as it made me laugh out loud a couple of times.
