My son said to rate this one 4.5 stars :)
He enjoyed it very much! It had been a long time since I’d read this one and it really is different from the Disney movie. I wonder if some of the other adventures in the movie are in the other books.
My favorite part of this story is the party where Mary and the little bird are talking to the babies and the babies are talking back. I love the thought that tiny infants can commune with the animals and other beings while they’re tiny and then they grow out of it. Little ones do always seem ti be so wise and so much is happening behind their eyes
