This was such a powerful, brave book, I'm so glad I decided to read/listen to it even though I'm not usually a memoir person. Do check content warnings.

Wow. That's all I really have to say about this book. This book was a quick read, and I really enjoyed it. It's crazy to think that Jennette McCurdy went through all the things she went through, and how well she hid it!

Incredibly gripping and fast-paced read. Brilliantly written.

All the reviews on the back seem to describe it as "funny", but I'm not sure that's quite the right word?
Jennette writes in a sort of deadpan, matter-of-fact way, so I could see how one could interpret her presentation of the absurd behaviour she has had to endure in her life as humourous, if only it weren't so absolutely heartbreaking. I really don't think "funny" is the right word for the depictions of toxic relationships in this book. I suppose one could argue the surreal humour angle.
