So I was only read this book bc I want to read ‘Take’ - the next book. And the villain of this story is the love interest of the next book.
And overall this book didn’t really so much for me. I just think I don’t really understand how these characters fell in love other. I was told they were falling in love after having sex, but it took like 5 days for them to fall in love. And I don’t buy it. It just felt like the MMC needed to move on from loving the previous books MFC and he just transferred his emotions to her sister. It didn’t feel genuine.
Soooo on to the main attraction. The villain of this book… is sorta really really irredeemable. So idk how the author is gunna accomplish that in book five but I wanna see how it goes.
Overall this was an okay thriller romance. But I didn’t buy the couple and so I can’t give it more than 2 stars.

This whole series is probably one of the darkest series of I’ve ever read. Pam Godwin makes you care about characters that make your heart bleed! This book was no exception.
If you like darker (and I mean DARK) romances, you need to read this book! I’ve enjoyed it immensely!

Wow, Wow, Wow! I loved reading Devastate. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. I could not put this book down. This whole series has been a fantastic read!
Devastate is the 4th book in the Deliver series. Each book can be read as a standalone but better read in order.
DELIVER series (HEAs with no cliffhangers - must be read in order):
Deliver #1
Vanquish #2
Disclaim #3
Devastate #4
Book #4 is Lucia Dias (Camilla’s sister, her story was told in Disclaim) and Tate Vade’s story. At the end of my review of Disclaim I said I hope that the next book was Tate’s turn and it is!
Tate has decided he was going after Camilla’s sister. He was going to find her be she dead or alive. This would give Camilla some closure.
There are so many things that happen after he finds Lucia. Bad things happen. Devastate is a dark story and isn’t a book for everyone. There are things that happen that can be a trigger for some. For those that love reading dark stories this book and this series is for you. I have not been disappointed with any of the books in this series.
I give 5 Devastating STARs for Devastate! I loved this story and can’t wait for book 5 to come out!

This book was so much more that I expected and anticipated.
I knew for a fact it was going to be good. Since the previous three books rocked.
But Devastate was so much beyond good.
This story gutted me and torn me to pieces.
Tate’s journey will forever be in my head and heart.
I already knew he was a strong man, physically and mentally. He had to be to survive his past ordeal.
He’s also loyal and so big hearted. He’s gorgeous and sexy. He’s the complete package.
What an incredible man Tate is,which again from the past books I already new.
But after reading his story he will be forever be the model of what my future book hero’s will be compared to.
The lengths he went to and the things he endured left me flabbergasted and crying my eyes out.
He is the epitome of what the word unconditional love means and embodies.
I felt so sad for Lucia living her life,if you can call that living, thinking she has no one left in the world who loves her. She’s just sludging through. Barely surviving and barely have the will to survive.
I’m trying to put myself in her position and I just can’t fathom thinking of there being no one on Earth who doesn’t care about me. What a burden on the heart and soul.
As much as I loved the previous books. I have to say Devastate is my favorite so far.
I’m also going to say it’s one of my all time favorite books.
Yes even with all the pain and suffering in the book the true meaning of the story is having hope, having faith and finding, even if it’s one person,a love so big,so true and so all encompassing that that one person is the whole world.

This series is going to be the end of me. After I finish it I will take a very long break from dark romance.
Just kidding. I won’t be stopping anytime soon with dark romances.
This book was dark. I was having trouble swallowing my own saliva due to what was happening and how dark it was.
Book 4 in the series and we finally got Tate’s story with his love interest. Nope, I’m not saying who. That would be a massive spoiler. So read to find out

Would it be too cheesy to say I was Devastated by this? Yes? Oh well. That is what I am going with. I was absolutely devastated by this story. I mean this as it was absolutely brilliant and left me speechless. It was dark and delicious and this series just seems to get better and better. This has to be my favorite so far. Ignore the fact that I have most likely said this with other books in this series. I loved this book and I could not put it down! It was everything I was looking for when delving into this story and more. I cannot wait to see what Pam will give us next. Oh and no I am not talking at all about the storyline. That needs to be experienced for yourself.
4.6 Sweet Jesus Stars
This book. I was not prepared for this book. I didn't think anyone could top Van's place in this series. I was wrong. Tate. Sweet holy titfire. This man-made me believe in love again. The things he endured for Lucia. I cannot even. I loved watching his character grow as he came to heal from his time being a victim. I enjoyed watching his connection with Van grow into something more than a painful past reminder. I lived for their interactions. My heart broke for both of them at one part in particular. I enjoyed Lucia and her resilience to overcome also. She lost a lot in this story and that saddened me. It is a testament to her character that she didn't break doing what she was forced to do.
The story paved the way into where it was going next and I look forward to those characters. Definitely a great series but I differ in my opinion from other reviewers. I do not think this could be read as a standalone. I think it is important to build on the foundation of this story and see how far the characters have come (especially Van) in order to atone for what they have done in the past or what they had to endure.

In a time of pain and humiliation.... her love carries him!
Tate and Lucia’s story is filled with pain, torture, hatred, forgiveness, and so much love!
I’ve loved Tate from the minute he showed up in this series. His love for Camila and the way that manifested into helping her back to Matias, made him my favorite.
This book made me fall for him even more. What does for, and endures for Lucia is so compelling and heart wrenching. I couldn’t put the book down and finished it in a short period of time. He feels everything so strongly and his heart is big and accepting. I want more!
