Took me a bit to get started, but then wow wow wow and then another wow. I love me some twists and I knew they were in there so I kept going and I got hooked. I don’t normally talk out loud while reading unless it’s a great book and I talked nonstop once it started getting juicy.

DNF'ing at 64%. And, this is actually the second time I'm DNF'ing this book - I've tried to read it once before. For some reason, I just can't get through it this book. I just really don't care about these characters.

In reading this time, I've gone ahead and viewed the spoilers within the reviews on Goodreads and I'm just like meh...I'm just ready to move on and read something else, so I'm finally giving up on this book. It's just not for me.

this had so much potential and had me intrigued in the first half, but lost me as the trope became evident, the twists came to light, and ultimately the ending left me feeling unsatisfied. disappointed because i was really enjoying it at the start!

Why the high ratings on this one? It perplexes me. I found it mostly frustrating, boring, and annoying. I would not describe this as "twisty" or "thrilling". It's not that I saw them coming, but that I just didn't find the twists that interesting or exciting. I found them about an interesting as if someone said, "That actually isn't water in your glass, it's tea." Well, OK. ZZZZZ. I won't go into all the details, because I think you either like a book or you don't. Personally, I'm glad I got this one free at the library. That said, I will say the writing was solid. I don't recommend this one, but hey, a lot of people obviously did like it.

I got Gone Girl vibes.  I don't want to read the perspective of a mentally unstable person out for revenge.

it’s kind of like the girl in the train and gone girl mixed together. if you like those, you’d probably like this book.
