A great retelling of a greek classic with a twist on perspective and a more modern feeling. Great read for any girl, woman or person who doesn't feel comfortable in their skin.

I really enjoyed some aspects and themes of the book, and how the main character of Medusa is written.  However I found the book quite slow and there was not much plot to get engrossed in.

“Medusa - The Girl Behind The Myth” was everything I ever wanted from a retelling of her story.
Beautifully written, poetic and with a feminist core Jessie Burton conveys the meaning behind the myth of the Medusa that so many girls and women see and understand on a deeper level behind Medusa’s fate.
Highly recommending this to everyone interested in greek mythology, especially in the myth of the Medusa.
