I thought I'd take a look at Anne since it was her 100th birthday. Unfortunately, after only a few chapters, I wanted to smother the chatty little redhead. I can only take so many "Oh, Marilla!"s and discussions of puffed-sleeved fairy princesses...

I did not expect to enjoy this book so much. I read it on the side when I wanted to take my mind off things. The characters (or may I say ANNE WITH AN E) were excellent and very relatable. Reading the book felt like being hugged by your favorite blanket, with all the warmth in the world.
