I compared this book to Anne With An E, my favourite show. Although the show is completely different from the book but stays true to some of the key points of this book, this book was still a very pleasant read. The last hundred pages were heartwarming and so beautiful. Anne is such an eccentric character and I related to so much of the things she was going through. Queens is my dream school, and seeing her there was such an esoteric experience. This is a great book for children and adults alike.

This was just so, so cute and bright and lovely. It's pretty impossible to not feel everything Anne is feeling. You feel her excitement, her fear, her love, her anger. It's written so well and I'm so happy for her. I'm honestly tempted to read the rest of the series, but I've been spoiled. y Rachel McAdams's reading of this that I'm not sure it would be the same.

Lovely escapism. I had never read this as a kid. It's a great antidote to today's nasty world.
Such a nostalgic read! I read this a couple times as a child and I think I enjoyed it the most this last time I read it. L.M. Montgomery's descriptions made me feel like I could imagine myself in the book. I loved the complexity of the characters. Such a sweet book. I plan to read the rest of the Anne books as well as other Montgomery books.
