Thank you to Adaline for the E-ARC my opinion are my own;

A man’s strength isn’t measured by how he commands a powerful woman to kneel at his feet, but the awe and respect she ignites within him. ~ Luna.

I loved this novel it captured my attention from the first page and I couldn't put it down.
I loved.LOVED the writing style, it made me laugh in some parts with Luna's sass!
Luna is a fantastic lead character, she's your sassy, none taking shit kinda girl that I just love. I wanna be her friend.
Adriel he's the kinda guy you just want to slap and then kiss, he's raises a lot of eyebrows but deep down I'm drawn to him too
I loved the world building I felt I was inside the novel, did I guess what was going to happen? I was kinda thinking wouldn't it be good if blah blah was blah blah but I still enjoyed how it played out.

I do need book 2, I have to know what happens next.

I’m new to fantasy and this book is definitely in my top 5 reads! If you want a dark Enemies to Lovers that are strong willed and provocative then this is the fantasy book for you. The chemistry between the two main characters- Luna and the Fae Prince Adriel is off the charts! Wooow !

Fae have overtaken Earth; the world humans have ruled for centuries. They are now the pawns, to the Fae domination. Luna will do whatever it takes to stop them from taking more of the land, and the people she loves.
Adriel will do whatever it takes to protect Faery from the Shadow King and the war that is brewing. When two enemies collide, and secrets are unraveled, will Luna and Adriel be able to work together to save both lands, or will their differences, and hate, destroy them all.
If you love a Fae, fantasy, enemies to lovers romance this book is right up your alley. Buckle up though, this book literally will throw every twist and turn at you it possibly can and let's not talk about the HUGE cliffy it leaves you with at the end. The slow burn and sexual tension between the two main characters, will leave you wanting more, and more.

Before anything else, WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO!?! God I will never forget this rollercoaster. You know there're some books that just stick with you, forever? This will be one of them! It had everything a fantasy romance should have and then some. I absolutely loved it and read it a little slow to devour it and let myself experience everything the book had to offer. The twists, oh god, I tried to catch up but couldn't. There were so many secrets and plot twists and turns. Winters kept me on my toes the whole time. And that cliffy, f*ck. If only I had seen it was a series and not a standalone. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK RIGHT NOW.

Luna was such a strong-willed warrior. I loved her spirit. She is a diamond! As much as you heat the diamond, it becomes more prominent, in the same way, with every hardship, Luna only became stronger and better! I loved her character so much. I learned so much from her and the way she always stood her ground, not letting anyone rail her!

Adriel was your typical anti-hero with a dark heart but strong morals. He suffered tremendously but never became his perpetrator. Sure, he has a darkness in him, and can ruin you with a snap of his fingers but he knows the difference and is never blinded by his emotions. He is so hot, though! He is officially the part of my harem.

The slow burn and back and forth between Adriel and Luna was so good. I typically like books where the stuff happens pretty quickly but I didn't mind the slowness here. It actually added so much value to the book and their relationship. I'd still be selfish and say, I absolutely needed more spice in the book.

Oh, and Ker is officially the part of my friends harem! That guy is like THE best friend I always want! He is sweet and caring. I love when authors have a setup where the mmc's friends/goons become best friends with the fmc. That setup always makes me yearn to have the same thing in my life someday. I would love to see spin-offs for Ker, Idris, Michek, and Lucy. These side characters really made as much of an impact on me as the mains.

Also, can I just say I absolutely hate the king? Like that's obvious but he is infuriating! Also, I DIDNOT expect what happened with the Summer Queen like wth!

Can't help myself to say this again, THE CLIFFHANGER

Bad a** female protagonist ✅
Steam ✅
Dark and sinful male ✅
Fun new world✅
Enemies to kind of lovers (no one else touches her)✅

This book took a more modern approach on fantasy and for once I loved it. The humans vs fae storyline was different than others you may have read. I loved Luna and how she never backed down. Adriel never once lied to you about the kind of character he is. Makes me love/hate him even more.

The ending of this book started off as I expected but then another twist happened. I need book 2 now so I can figure out how in the world this all ties together!!

Holy shit!!! Why must endure this torture that is Adaline Winter's cliffhangers? I don't think another has left in such a state with a cliffhanger. How long must I wait for the second book?

I have so many thoughts and I do not know where to start. I'm here for every badass FMC Adaline writes. Honestly, this review will be all over the place and you'll just have to deal with it. A new series means a new world and if it's one thing this author has down is world-building. Each character that we were introduced to wormed their way into my heart minus a few. The whole book was just foreplay for Luna and Adriel and I was here for that, not many authors can get away with that but Adaline did, she kept me guessing and doubting myself that the romance between the two characters was not my main concern. Adriel is a dumbass for an all-powerful faery, don't get me I love him but my guy fumbled the bag and basically achieved the opposite of what he set on achieving. With the way this book ended, I am going to try my best to patiently wait for book 2.

This is my first book from Adeline, and she did not disappoint with this one! I thought the world building and character development was absolutely amazing. Definitely a 5 star read for sure! It keeps you on the edge of your seat from page one till the very end. I enjoyed everything about this book, the suspense, the background, the drama, and the chemistry.
