I wish it didn’t keep some of the ableist language from the original, but this is an excellent graphic novel adaptation.

Yeah I'm sorry, this art style reeeally isn't doing anything for me. The characters all have the same face, all look like they're 8, and sometimes make expressions that don't even match the tone of what they're saying. Idk, maybe a kid wouldn't care, but to me it completely lessens the experience. Sorry, Chris.

Well-adapted. Read if you enjoyed the series. The images in your head from your childhood will not be trampled on even if these ones differ from what you imagined.

Good graphic novel! Brought back memories of reading those books when I was in middle school!

Late childhood nostalgia paired with a modern graphic novel.
Am I dead? literally, no-emotionally,yet. It's the dream I never realized I had.
Flipping through these pages with bright colored drawings and familiar dialogue, my mind spun back to those days devouring Animorphs with a fury. I believe in Applegate. She's been a master at her craft for decades.
I only knock it one star because I really hoped for some more fun lines to break up the serious undertone.
If you couldn't tell, this one really hit the spot for me. It only bums me out to wait for the next one.
My kid doesn't read chapter books (only comics), so here's hoping I can force my childhood on her like any good parent should.

I started reading this series back in third grade. I remember looking forward to the next installment every month as it was released. I have forgotten a lot of details over the years, but it was fun to revisit the story reading this. Since it has been so many years, I can't really compare the original with this, but it does feel like the story has been adapted very well to this new medium.

I am looking forward to continuing to revisit this series that was my favorite when I was younger now as an adult in this new format.
