Such a sweet story! I can't believe the entire story is just one day! So much happens to this wonderful middle schooler and her family. This book has so many great messages about family and community and kindness. All the feels for this brave girl. There were so many great quotes in this story too. Highly recommend for all ages!!

I will read anything Christina Day publishes. Love how slow this book was. It was just a day long, but so intimate.

I love, love, love that this book took place all in one day! It takes a gifted writer to tell a compelling story in one fourteen-hour period, but Christine Day knocked it out of the park. I loved Wesley's POV, her friends, her family -- and the way it all tied together at the end of the day...chef's kiss! I know that both of my kids will enjoy this one, but especially my teen writer.

In many ways Wesley is your typical 7th grader, she likes playing video games, she plays the viola and she has a crush on a boy. She’s also Native American and she wrote a poem that got printed in the school paper. She starts her day hopeful and full of plans. They all go wrong, however in the end she is surrounded by family and friends that uplift her.
