The story is good! At first...
when Rachel takes his phone and talks to his mom, she doesn't really know the reason. Instead of letting him explain she just get mad at him because buhu she lost her dad! Same shit happens when she finds out George is his dad. Ffs she blindside him, takes their side without listen and get pissy when he get mad about it??? AND he needs to apologise? Fuck no. He  was wronged by his family and only reason they are reaching out is because his dad are sick

Other than that, the story is well written and like the narrators

Light hearted, funny, surprisingly enjoyable. Loved the details about wine. The humor was spot on.

This is the first book I have read by the author and it won't be the last.

This is a well written book that really focuses on the relationship between the hero and heroine and how their own issues and insecurities impact on it. I really liked both main characters, Rachel with her struggles to know who she was and what she wants and Jimmy being tied down by grudges and resentment. There were several times I thought Jimmy needed to take his head from out of the sand, but this was a deliberate part of the story.

There are a few sub-plots that weave through the main story and give it extra depth, as well as a few characters who we will see in future books. It may have been me, as I read this book in several sittings and around a few other books, but it seemed to have different 'flavours' at different parts of it. It started out almost like a rom-com, and whilst it did retain a thread of wit and humour through-out, later chapters were much less frivolous.

I would recommend this book as an entertaining and well written read.
