I liked the couple... but the story was a bit too obvious and cliché for my liking but to be fair i read dark romance and fantasy and prefer more wicked schemes. Took me half a year to finish this book.

(1 ⭐️) dnf @ 61% I just couldn’t do it anymore and I have so many reasons

My man Rowan needed to do waaaay more grovelling for that bs he pulled but I am a sucker for cheesey grumpy sunshine & workplace romance

i've been really excited to finally read my first lauren asher book! i enjoyed this one, but i think i'm going to have to try out her other books to see if the things i liked less about this one are common themes in asher's other books.

zahra and rowan definitely had amazing chemistry! i loved their dialogue and how well they worked together. i felt like the beginning of their relationship was a little too 'insta-love' for my liking, and that zahra was a bit too animated at times (even though she's supposed to be working at a disneyland theme park).

honestly, this one just got me really excited to pick up terms and conditions, so i can get more of declan and iris!
