4⭐️ not because i didn't like the book that much, but because it wasn't anything special. i mean, it was good, dont get me wrong, the romance was great, the spice was great, but it wasn't anything like jaw-dropping. still love zhara and rowan with my whole heart. rowan was such a great grump and raised my standards for men even more.

reread: wanted to finish reading the series, so i had to reread this one since i don't remember much

DNF

So I wasn’t totally in love with this book like I thought I’d be having seen the hype all over booktok etc.

However the story was an easy read & enjoyable if a little cringe at times. How many times can one person throw their head back & laugh ?

THIS BOOK WAS PERFECT. omg y’all have no idea how much i love this book ahh. i kept reading the parts of the book to my sister and fangirling and she hates it when i talk about books… not that i care cuz i still read to her :) ROWAN KANE… mister… i love you. so. so. so. much. his relationship with Ani (Zahra’s sister) was the most perfect thing ever. there isn’t a single thing i don’t like about the book and i can’t wait to read rest of the series. especially alana and cal. i’m sensing enemies to lovers and a second chance romance there.

overall Zahra and Rowan own my heart

I really enjoyed the banter in the book. As a writer myself, I often find myself struggling to come up with these imaginary conversations that build the tension and make good jokes. Some parts seemed repetitive, and I wish it was more of a slow burn than an insta-lust.
