How did Amor Towles develop his penchant for elegant, ever so slightly flawed men, characterized so brilliantly that you have no choice but to fall in love with them.
funny inspiring mysterious reflective sad medium-paced

I did not like how the dialog was written and none of the characters grabbed me immediately.

I very much enjoyed this book. It is exceptionally well written, good character development, good plot, set in an interesting time pre World War II Manhattan and is a great take on social order, transparency and society.

I’d give this book a solid 3.5 stars. It’s not quite what I expected, but a good read overall. I’m also having a bit of an identity crisis - I might be turning into a historical fiction fan…

Excellent
