This book is so beautifully written and poetic but has a strong plot and realistic characters. The book is an amazing depiction of how enchanting and unexpected New York City can be. Couldn’t recommend this book more!

Such a treat reading this as a young gal living in Manhattan, working in fashion and doing the best that she can!!!

Armor Towles might create the most interesting narrators, and I might be the luckiest girl to get to, in some small way, relate to the life and sentiments of this one. 10/10 even though it took me a bit to get through.

When I finished this book, I hugged it for very long. I wished I didn’t even read it so I can start all over again. It is so good!

Solidly good writing. Enjoyable story. Well-developed characters. Just a fantastic book all the way through. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I never felt big stakes to anything. That’s ok, but keep it from being quite compelling enough to be 5. I’ll read more of this author’s work for certain.

Strong Gatsby vibes. Lifestyles of the rich (or wannabe rich) and useless. I liked "Gentlemen in Moscow" but this one was a waste of time.

I know I read this book but I have no memory of its contents. It must have been an especially stressful time of life.
