This book is a beautifully illustrated non-ficiton account of Harry Houdini's life. I don't know much about Houdini so I'm not sure how accurate or how many imperitive details appear in the text, but it was engaging and provided key fact for a child hoping to learn a bit or write a report. Occassionally, the facts appear in a non-linear fashion or there isn't a clear connection between facts. While it can feel choppy at times, this book is still a good place for inquiring readers to start. The book is a part of a series of biographies as well, so I will need to check out the others too.

I loved the illustrations and what the author chose to tell. The vivid picture of the punch that killed him was a brilliant move.
