⭐️⭐️ BOOK REVIEW ⭐️⭐️
Oh my goodness me! What a read this is!!! It’s a total rollercoaster of darkness, brutality, love, light, religion, magic, hierarchy, betrayal.....I seriously could go on!!! In short I loved it, it’s well written, ends well and the characters are great.....highly recommend!!⭐️

This book is written from the first-person perspective, as are quite a few books, but the actual style of the writing is different from any I have so far read. It immediately gave the narrative an intriguing edge that just suited the setting and general atmosphere of the story.
The tale flows along at a nice pace, always keeping you gripped and wanting more, and as such you quickly devour the book.
The actual plot revolves around the rajah taking his hundredth wife, but before he can marry her, any of his courtesans are allowed to challenge her to a duel, and should they win they would take her place. This of course is just one of many intriguing layers to the story, which is well worth exploring.

This story had the potential to be really good. I really appreciated the Sumerian mythology. However, that doesn’t compensate for the instalove and predictability.
Since the story is largely based around Sumerian mythology, I also expected the women to be based around Sumerian or Mesopotamian women but that sadly wasn’t the case.

No words. This was excellent! The magic are beautiful writing you get when reading The Wrath and the Dawn, the gifted writing you get while reading A Star Touched Queen, and the adventurous strong woman you get when reading Throne of Glass. This was an excellent read and I recommend it to anyone who loves Fantasy and Adventure.
When I picked this book to read, I will admit that I wasn’t really expecting anything, but I had read the summary and it sounded interesting enough and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. It’s a beautiful love story filled with magic in a wonderful lush world and twists and turns along the way that kept me wanting to know more.
I won a copy of this book from Brittany, so first, thank you for the free copy of this book. The Hundredth Queen was a quick and entertaining read, but I did have some issues with it. Some of the things I did like about this book was the friendships and Kalinda's character development. There were two things that really bugged me about the book. One was the instant love between Deven and Kalinda. I feel, especially if there is more than one book, that the romance should be more drawn out. Don't get me wrong, I liked Deven and Kalinda, just not that they were immediately attracted to each other. The other issue I had was with the plot itself. I felt that the whole backstory of Yasmin and several other pieces of information and mythology were only added when it was convenient. I was also at times frustrated with Kalinda because as more is revealed it becomes obvious that people both have and are withholding information, but she continues to act the same until the end of the book. The magic system was simple and easy to follow. I also liked that there was an element of females having each others back, even in such a hostile and unforgiving environment. The book was also a little predicatable, but still kept me wanting to see what happened next. I did like this book, I just didn't love it.
