Pretty standard contemporary romance. I loved the characters and the setting. The cringe parts were just cringey enough to be so and just little enough to not completely ruin the book. The main characters are totally swoon-worthy. 
Had no idea it's a series so I'll have to check out the other two.

I really enjoyed this second instalment! It was even better than the first. This had lots of tropes used well - tragic backstory, miscommunications, friends to enemies to lovers - plus the awesome ensemble cast of the first book. I liked the love interest in this one a whole lot and also loved the quirkiness of the geeky heroine.
