This book was a quick read, and I think given the content I’m really glad for it. It was difficult to read, but I found the writing and storylines engaging enough that I wanted to continue. I wanted to follow Kiara’s story through to the end. I (foolishly) hoped for a happy ending with the family and Trevor back together the officers indicted and a happily ever after. I didn’t get that, but I am content with Kiara’s contentment.
