I’m in a reading slump so this was a good read to try and mitigate that.
The perfect short story to keep up my Kindle reading streak and get me one of the achievements in the current Kindle Challenge while not taking much time away from reading the very enjoyable eARC of [b: The Glass Gate|60062540|The Glass Gate A Retelling of Cinderella (Faerie Tale Romances)|Hanna Sandvig|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1641654594l/60062540._SX50_.jpg|94707140]. It went by far quicker than I expected, coming in at about 32 pages only, and could have easily been read in one sitting. A nugget-sized short on how our childhood experiences affect us, and how sometimes, even if we are determined to do things differently, the ways our mothers/fathers/parents/adults raised us still influences how we raise our children. The big question is though, how much do you believe?

This is a lovely short story about mothers and daughters, mental health, and growing up. It made me chuckle, it got me emotional; I loved the narrative voice and the ending.

Good short story about the relationship between a mother and daughter.
Very effin humorous. I dont think I have smirked so much in my life (ps:I smirk a lot) just too good. Would have happily read a longer version
