Well this is darling. A short story about the difficult relationship between mothers and daughters, especially when the mother is a little witchy and kooky. Overall intensely relatable, down to the tuna noodle casserole.

My Evil Mother by Margaret Atwood
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4*)
This was my first book by Margret Atwood and what a lovely short-story this was.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short story! In My Evil Mother, Atwood has proved her chops at writing a good story, as if I'd ever doubted she could. The plot is tight, the humor great and I so much she would write a story about witches.
I'd definitely recommend this to a friend. It's a quick read and well- worth the tidbit of time to read it.

3.5 stars
To be completely honest I am not the biggest fan of short stories, I find it really hard to connect with the characters and thus I never give them high ratings. However, I did really enjoy this one. It's short and sweet, gently unfolding whilst also managing to keep the reader engaged and somehow Margaret Atwood was still able to provide the reader with character development. It just shows how good of an author she is.
This almost felt like a short movie and somehow it really comforted me. I really can't explain this feeling and I don't understand how something so short could make me feel this way.
