This was pretty good for a short story. My only issue would be the beginning. It felt like I started in the middle of the story.

This audiobook uses the voice of a real person. At first I thought it was an AI generated audiobook and to be perfectly honest I still think it might be - at least generated using clips from Hillary Huber's other readings. It made it much more difficult to get into the story, but it does have good bones

Sometimes things aren’t what they seem, sometimes they’re exactly how they seem. I really loved this one!

“now i would no longer have my own unique secret, a corner of my life my mother hadn’t managed to pry open and judge” phew

This was free with Amazon Prime and I needed a new audiobook to tide me over until my library account reset. It was pretty short though so I still finished it after dinner but before bed. It was interesting and sort of….cute? I’m definitely more interested in reading The Handmaid’s Tale now so there’s that.
