I love the subject, and I agree with the idea or whatever. I just didn't enjoy the book. It's not bad. I suppose I expected more like a book on why gratitude is so awesome. And, don't get me wrong, it's there, but it really genuinely feels more like a diary, as the title suggests and instead reflects the author's personal experiences. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just not quite what I hoped to get out of it. If this is "fine" for you, by all means, don't let my review sway you away from reading it.

I truly enjoyed most of this book. There were times when she was speaking about her weekend home or the celebrities that she interacted with that it became a bit hard to relate to her. the idea of being more grateful truly resonates with me so that helped to get past her name dropping and descriptions of her high end life

This book was decent. Lots of advice on how to appreciate the day-to-day little things in life. I listened to it while in Tennessee and there’s an entire chapter devoted to the great outdoors and how a change of scenery can make us more grateful and I’d have to agree. I also enjoyed the chapter on food and hope to apply some of those principles going forward. I also hope to remember that even in the worst times to look for the one thing to be grateful for.

Well, I did it. I finally bought a gratitude journal, thanks to this book.

I read this book at the beach. To be true I skipped some pages. It was ok, I found some interesting stuff inside, but at the bottom line I couldn't relate. The writer is very wealthy and she feels gratitude for being from rich to even more. Not my kind of gratitude. We should try to read more realistic self-help books. This kind of books can make you feel worst with your self. Don't try it.

This was so lovely and refreshing to read! I love the positive outlook this brings to life, even amidst the gloominess of traffic or frustration of delayed trains. While I don't love the advertisement of gratitude as a cure-all for everything that ails you, I do plan on incorporating several techniques this book has shown me. I am grateful for finding this book, lucky my library had a copy, and eager to practice gratitude regularly.
