When you read a good book filled with well-formed characters you can enjoy it no matter the actual plot, genre or setting. This is one of those books, as the author creates a cast of major and minor characters you want to read more about. Add in the 'character' of Savannah itself, and you have a great read. The history, the nuances, the feel of being in the city is present. It adds a richness to a haunted house story that was good on its own merits before ramping up the intensity. Will be reading much more from this author.
