3.62 AVERAGE

It was a good read but the ending kept me from rating it higher.

I loved this book! Told from the point of view of 11-year old Julia during an unprecedented and unpredicted slowing of the earth's rotation, it is an emotionally powerful book, on both a personal and global level. Read my full review:

Like a sci fi coming of age… but left me wondering why the narrator was telling the story… her hindsight seemed like it was building to something but then didn’t. Super glad i am not 11 any more.

I kept waiting for this book to be more than it ever turned out to be. The premise was interesting, but, to be honest, I found the plot and mechanisms to be a bit insipid.
