I was not a big fan of Massimo. I didn’t like the insanity and unnecessary killing. I don’t like when the cruelty doesn’t have a point. Also, he was such a red flag with his temper that I could just not really root for them.

Another thing is that the book was just kind of boring. Not a lot happened and I wasn’t invested in the romance. So much of the book was them being apart and writing letters, but that was boring. I wanted some action or something. It was also a bit weird that we got to see Zahara as a kid and interacting with him. I don't mind age-gaps but this one was a bit over the line.
