“You can wear any damn thing you want, Zahara. If I don’t like how other men look at you, I’ll just kill them.”
HE WAS ACTUALLY CRAZY FOR THIS. TOTALLY INSANE.

it was good and then the last 15% happened

Definitely not my favorite of all the others. Def love that our main girl is not meek and obedient and was Massinos spy. And liked the step sibling dynamic but it was a bit weird as it was a large gap and they communicated when she was very young. But loved how fucking obsessed he was and loved how she always knew what she wanted.

I loved it but when they started doing the dirty in front of the whole familia it gave me the ick. Also the way mmc talked with his alter ego made me think he had venom inside of him and I kept hearing Tom Hardy's voice as it talked back.

No bc i ATE this book!!! The step-sibling trope isn't my cup of tea but I really enjoyed this one

I was excited about Massimo and Zahara's story because I was curious to see how they’d fall in love while he was in prison. But my hopes were quickly dashed when I realized he used her for his own benefit until he saw her for the first time and magically fell in love just because she was more beautiful than he imagined.

Over the years, he’s clearly opened to me. I felt it deep inside my soul. From the day I confronted him in prison, the Massimo I knew transformed into something more. His letters became a lot more open, sharing details about his prison life. His thoughts. His struggles. Even some regrets. And as his letters turned more and more personal, I almost convinced myself that he could have developed some feelings. For me.

Did we read the same letters, or was Zahara just being delulu? Because I honestly didn’t see anything that showed he was opening up to her.

I was also expecting Massimo to show that dark side he keeps talking to and about, but aside from a few outbursts at innocent staff members over absolutely nothing, I’m still waiting for that Deadpool-like alter ego to make an actual appearance.
