The series itself I loved it so much I was waited for this book to come out. Once it did…I was kind of let down i expected more so much more out of it but I forced myself to finish it and I’m hoping the next one is better. This being a stepbrother age gap wasn’t the issue. I’m not sure if maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood for it but I couldn’t get into this:(

I love this series but it’s been a minute so some of the characters are not blending together but thankfully she has a family tree on her site. 

The way this man was obsessed with her, and he actually showed it not just a simple gift or stating he’s obsessed. No this man waited years to be with her (cause of prison), remembers everything she ever told him, fixed problems for her without her knowing, made her feel seen and protected. All the while fighting his inner demon (literally inner demon) to not doing anything TOO crazy. 

They were definitely one of my favorite couples. 

Also I liked how she brought attention to solidarity confinement and humanized the MMC. 

The villain was predictable but the why was a little bit of a surprise.
