This book is so cute that I had to listen to it all day! The audio was amazing!
This was a really fun book.
I enjoyed seeing Willa realize her strength and feel confident in being a friend. I also enjoyed seeing her relationship with Liam evolve.
I felt like there was a little too much emphasis put in ‘The Incident’ but it also is such a defining moment for Willa so I’m also not sure what I would have liked to see different.
I also felt like Maisie’s secret was a little unnecessary in the overall scheme of the story, but again not sure what I would have done differently.
This was a quick, enjoyable read. Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a light story.

this is pretty fucking impressive for being a DEBUT novel. the plot was great. all of the characters were likeable, and it actually made me laugh out loud a couple of times. plus willa was an amazing main character
i only took a star off because while i thought the romance was good i still would have liked to see more. and their first hookup was very anticlimactic. like their tension was almost palpable but when they finally get freaky we don’t get to see it?! i hate fade to black romances

4.5 stars!
I enjoyed this book immensely. It was very well written, had lots of humor and the characters were so fun to read about. Based on the pop culture references, I would guess that the author is around my age (or was close to someone around my age) and these little trips down memory lane made it that much more enjoyable.
This didn’t quite make it to 5 stars for me, but it’s still a highly recommend. One note: there is romance in this book, but I wouldn’t say this is straight romance as the romance is a secondary plot point. Nothing wrong with that, but a warning none the less.
I felt how the author wrote about and handled mental health was huge and very important in elevating normalization of grief, anxiety and dealing with heartbreak. I will recommend this book with joy and I'm looking forward to the author’s next book!

This was really cute! Willa's arc in this is beautifully done and I really appreciated the way everything wasn't tied up perfectly with a bow at the end. Willa and Maisie's friendship is adorable! The romance between Willa and Liam is lovely, but the way the women's friendship blossomed really grabbed me.
Willa used to have it all - the perfect boyfriend, an amazing best friend, and a successful career as a blogger. Until she caught her boyfriend with her best friend and that perfect life fell apart. Now she performs at children’s birthday parties. One day she meets Maisie, who offers to pay Willa to be her bridesmaid. As bridesmaid duties go on, they start to form a real friendship AND Willa starts to fall for the best man, Liam.
This book was so fun! One thing I really appreciated was that outside of the romance, this book really focused on the importance of female friendships and Willa’s journey of self-discovery. Willa’s growth was beautiful to watch - how she went from someone who felt completely lost and broken, to someone who was willing to get let people in and knew her worth was incredible. The importance of family was also profound, and I loved Willa’s interactions with her nieces. I would have liked a little more romance, but otherwise this was a gem of a book.

Another “meh” book. I honestly wish Maisie was the main character. She had more depth and growth than the actual MC, Willa. I was entirely too annoyed by Willa. Should I have stopped reading 6 chapter in, yeah definitely. But I thought Maisie was so adorable. If it wasn’t for her this would have been a nope. All the characters had more depth than the FMC.
I don’t think I have ever read a book that was set in the state of Ohio before!
This is such a cute story, and I enjoyed it from the first page to the last. It makes for a nice vacation read! The story was unique and interesting, and I found myself appreciating a lot of the characters. My favorite character in the story was probably Glory; she was the ever supportive, funny and full of grace woman that Willa needed in her life (as does everyone!) As for my least favorite characters, I hated Max and Sarah so much. The author did a great job at making readers hate those two for their appalling behavior and crocodile tears.
One thing that bothered me slightly about the plot was about Liam getting mad at Willa for deceiving everyone and walking out on her, but coming back to reconcile like nothing happened a little bit later. I was confused about that happening as it seemed a little abrupt. Other than that, though, I was happy that they ended up together in the end of the story.
I also thought it was really great that the author didn’t include any kind of revenge against Max and Sarah - this choice made it realistic, as often there is not any seeming justice for every bad By. by allowing Willa to find an experience happiness with new people, and simply moving on as best as she can from the betrayal of people close to her, the author made it a story that feels real and realistic.
Loved this read!
