Willa Callister thought she had it all until she caught her fiance and best friend in bed together six weeks before the wedding. The devastation led to Willa quitting her job, moving in with her sister, and giving up on life. When one day she is waiting for a date at a coffee shop, Maisie Mitchell sits down at her table and asks her to pretend to be her friend. That meeting leads to Willa becoming a fake bridesmaid for Maisie's wedding and earning $5,000 for her trouble, but the longer she spends with Maisie, the more their fake friendship becomes real, and Liam Rafferty, the sexy best man makes Willa think that her life might not be over after all.

The Wedding Ringer is a charming story that is more women's fiction than romance. The characters are likable and well developed in this book about the up and down realities of life. In addition, this story delves into the value of friendship through many laugh-out-loud and tearful moments. My only complaint about the story is the amount of overreaction several of the characters show throughout the book. Overall, though, The Wedding Ringer is an enjoyable novel with some deeply emotional moments.

I enjoyed the story of how the main heroine found her feet again and her personal realizations about those in her life. The situations are really out of this world (a crazed lady begging the MC to be her bridemaid/friend and her actually being a good person) but overall this was a fun time.
