The second book of the Wool series. And - woo! Insane cliffhanger ending that comes out of left field. This one builds the intrigue in the silo. It grabs you - already laying out the heroes and villains. I'm glad that the third one is published in an omnibus with the first 5.
I liked that in this book we get to see more of the silo and understand more about the workings of that underground civilization. Fantastic story! And another surprise ending. Some profanity. :(
This was more of a book than the first story, but it still lacked the depth to the characters I was expecting. I really liked the further exploration of the silo, but have yet to care about anyone. My plan is to give the third book a go, then read the rest of the plot summaries wherever they are online.
Just the right amount of twists and turns and I'm looking forward for even more in next installments.
Also, I guess my excitement level is on point with this one! (Wool as a whole series)

I just cannot stop reading this tetralogy. Compelling characters and mystery keep me going forward, unhappy every time I must turn the Kindle off to do something else. I cannot wait to see how this all ends!
So, part 2 finally starts to give you some of the background that the teaser part 1 lacked. Yes, there are some problems with the science in this. Yes, you're left wanting to know more about the characters than what Howey gives you. Yes, you are banging your head trying to figure out why they never thought to build some freaking elevators. But even with all of that, I am hooked!
I wasn’t aware that the book of “wool” that I read was actually the entire series. I just assumed the book was the first until I realized the length and how it felt forever long. I wasn’t impressed with the overall series, but this section was one of the more dull.
